We have dozens of schools in our local Schools of Sanctuary network, and are part of a national network of almost 800 schools across the country with or working towards the Sanctuary Award.
We are delighted to be able to tell you that Schools of Sanctuary has been recognised in the Inclusive and Sustainable Promising Practices in Refugee Education (InSPPiRE) report as an GLOBAL example of best practice. The Schools of Sanctuary programme was included following a review of our case study by by an expert steering group of refugee education practitioners and academics from Refugee REACH at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Qatar Foundation International (QFI), Save the Children, Sirius, UNHCR and the University of Nottingham.
