St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School in Nechells, Birmingham, has become our third School of Sanctuary. St Vincent’s impressed by its positive and enthusiastic support for activities involving its pupils and parents from all over the world, its involvement in a programme involving schools in other European countries, and its ongoing commitment to inviting refugees and asylum-seekers to visit their school and to run regular information days.

Shari Brown and Bob Morris of the Birmingham City of Sanctuary Group presented the certificate to the Head Teacher Mrs Tibbits and teacher Mrs Caffrey, who put together the school’s portfolio.
