Refugee Action is a national charity campaigning for refugees rights and delivering direct services to refugees and asylum seekers. Our West Midlands office is based at 5 ways in Birmingham.

We have a high quality volunteer programme, offering induction, training, ongoing support and paying out of pocket expenses. Volunteers are central to our work, and roles include:

• Asylum guides, meeting regularly with newly dispersed asylum seekers to help them navigate the complexitiesof the asylum system.
• CARE volunteers, working with a paid staff member to assess the needs of refused asylum seekers and help them to challenge wrongful refusals of housing and support.
• Resettlement volunteers, helping to support new arrivals from refugee camps under the Syrian Vulnerable Peoples Relocation Scheme.
