Birmingham City of Sanctuary has signed an Open Letter from Together With Refugees, calling for political leaders to condemn any further violence to those who come to the UK in search of safety. Birmingham Schools of Sanctuary (and also some of the schools in our network) also signed, as did other local organisations which we are happy to work with. We abhor not only the violence, but also the escalation of the “hostile environment” and the rhetoric which goes along with this.
