Oasis Church Welcome the Nations Project

Oasis Church in Edgbaston is close to the hostel in Stone Road and the hotels in the area used to house newly arrived asylum seekers before they are dispersed around the region.

Members of the church realised how isolated and unwelcome people felt when they first arrive here. We offer a warm welcome on a Sunday.

The church is now open again and we meet between 11am and 12,30 pm.

The service is translated into Farsi and we also welcome Kurdish speakers

There is a hot drink and cake at the end !

We ask people to wear masks and respect Covid rules – our garden means there is opportunity to speak outside.

We have a smaller meeting for welcome and prayer ‘House of Prayer’ on a Thursday from 5- 6.30pm with coffee and cake.
