We were delighted to award Birmingham’s (and possibly the UK’s) first Pharmacy of Sanctuary on 13th October 2026.

Razi Meds is a distance selling pharmacy working with patients online as a nominated pharmacy & offering pharmacy first consultations.

Falah has his own lived experience of the asylum process and was aware of the many difficulties refugees have in obtaining medication & understanding the NHS primary care system.

He now has a team who work in the local asylum hotels and charities. If an asylum seeker is moved to another city Razi Meds can send out the prescription & help register with a new local GP & pharmacy.
Razi Meds carries the cost of this project partly balanced by other arms of the business.

Falah feels the social responsibility to reach out to refugees in this way. Those present today recognise the difference he brings to many lives.
