We were delighted to visit Green Lane Masjid this morning for their Sanctuary Award presentation – which was given to them by the Lord Mayor, who grew up right in that area. The visiting team had been extremely impressed by the huge amount of community work done by the Masjid, including support for asylum-seekers and refugees. Today we were given a warm and generous welcome along with invitees from other faiths and community groups, starting with coffee and finishing with a delicious lunch!
